Aims and Objectives
- Discuss festival, funding and local community opportunities for movement teachers.
- Develop a meeting point where practitioners can gather, collaborate, and explore wider community wellbeing initiatives
- Create an online ‘Headquarters’ to relieve teachers of admin time
- Provide a practical space at festivals for rest, reset, and participation
- Open to all
- Link interested people to teachers and groups in their local areas
- Support local classes and other community events with funds raised through CIC
Longer-Term Development
Develop the Movement Marquee beyond just the tai chi that I can provide and incorporate other arts and disciplines.
And to develop beyond just the festival environment, connecting interested people with approved teachers in their local areas and helping carry some of the spirit of the gatherings back into everyday life.
Current Resources and Support
- One month base at Weekend Truth Festival, Wales (5th–26th July)
- All camping gear available, please let me know in advance
- Public-facing marquee providing space for practice, conversation, relaxation and community activity
- Café and communal kitchen
- Open marquee for any impromptu sessions
- FFilm support for filming, documentation and website development
- Development of an online headquarters to support future projects and practitioner networking
- Community Interest Company established
- Opportunity to test, document and develop the model for future locations and events
